Membership to the M&T Facebook page and WhatsApp group
Why do I have to pay 2.50 at the Wednesday hall meetings if I am a member?
The 2.50 you pay for each hall meeting covers the cost of tea and coffee for the Mums and juice and biscuits for the kids. Your annual membership contributes to the cost of hall hire for each meeting, but we ask for this small additional contribution so we can keep the cost of annual membership low.
The hall meetings sound formal, what happens at them?
They are very informal! We have lots of toys for the children to play with, there is tea and coffee for Mums and you are welcome to come along for as much or as little of the morning that suits you and your baby or toddler’s schedule.
I am a stay at home Dad, can I join?
Of course, you are very welcome with your children, and over the years we’ve had several ‘Dad’ members. Membership covers your family so Dads or Mums are welcome with their child members to the hall meetings or to the other events we organize.
How can I get to the hall meetings if I don't have a car?
Please let us know and we’ll try to put you in touch with another member who lives near you who can give you a lift or help you come on public transport.
What if I can't attend Wednesday hall meetings- how do I meet you and find out more?
We will send you our newsletter as soon as you join which will let you know when and where the other events of the month will be. We try to hold events on days other than Wednesday so that our members who can’t make hall meetings, for whatever reason, will be able to come to other events.
How many events per month do you plan?
As well as two hall meetings, we try to always have at least one Mums’ event and one event for children every month.
How often is your newsletter published?
Every two months.
Who is in charge of M&T?
M&T is organised by a ‘committee’ of volunteer members. One the last page of the newsletter you will find a list of everyone’s names.
How do I join the committee?
Please mention it to one of the Mums at the table at a hall meeting, or email us at the M&T email address. We are always pleased to have new committee members.
How do I suggest or host an event?
Please mail the M&T email address. We would like to hold events you would like to come to, so welcome all suggestions.
When I email the M&T email address, who will reply to me?
One of M&Ts committee Mums will reply to you from the M&T address.
Where are your member’s home countries?
At the moment, we have members from America, Australia, Britain, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Slovakia, Taiwan and Vietnam.
Can I join M&T if my kids are older?
M&T welcomes everyone who wants to socialize and connect with other people. The children's events are organized for children under four and usually held during school hours. We also organize Mums-only events, usually held in the evening, to allow mums to interact and get to know each other. At least twice a year, we organize fun family events, where all the family, siblings, and partners participate, too.
How many Mums only events do you have per month?
We try to hold at least one 'Mums only' event per month.
